My professional career started at age 5, as “Miss Kallenberg” in a classroom in my basement in front of my dolls. It was a job I held and loved for many years. Growing up, it never crossed my mind to do anything but teach. I knew what school I would work in someday and went off to college in pursuit of an education degree. Then, life took an unexpected turn and led me towards event planning and a business degree.
Taking a risk to start my own business was about as uncharacteristic of me as one could imagine, but once I made the decision I never looked back. Being invited to take part in the most important day of a couple’s life is one of the most precious gifts you can ever be given – and I get that gift every weekend!
I have finally found a way to combine my childhood love of teaching with my adult passion of wedding planning. Learning the ins-and-outs of the industry and starting a business was a bumpy road for me, but this school was created to help you avoid those learning potholes by providing you with the proper road map, which will make for a smoother ride on your wedding planning journey.
When I’m not taking part in these incredible moments, you can find me on a lake in a kayak, traveling, having a glass of wine at a local vineyard, or hanging out with some of the best family and friends a girl could ask for.
